Filippos Stefas received his integrated M.Sc. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Patras, Greece, in 2024. He is currently working as a researcher at the University of Patras in the field of optical communications, focusing on the performance evaluation of 6G networks.

The Optical Communications Systems & Networks (OCSN) Lab at the Electrical & Computer Engineering Department of University of Patras conducts advanced research related with most aspects of modern optical communications systems and networks, that support various networks segments ranging from short reach applications (e.g. Fiber to the Home, Intra-Datacenter interconnects, 5G/6G Fronthaul) going all the way to backbone ultra-high capacity long-reach networks that make today’s Internet and its applications a reality.
