Charalampos Papapavlou received his master degree in digital communications & networks from the University of Piraeus in 2011. He has more than 15 published works in international conferences and journals of which 9 as a first author. Also, he has more than 10 years working experience as DWDM network engineer in the optical transport department of Hellenic Telecommunication Organization of Greece. Currently he is a Ph.D. candidate at the university of Patras and his research interests are in the fields of optical communications systems with emphasis on novel node designs for core networks.
